Llewellyn Park was America’s first private community, and is located just 12 miles from Manhattan. It has been the home of many familiar names, including Colgate, Chubb, Merck, Stetson, and of course Thomas Edison. Edison lived in Glenmont most of his life, raised his family in Llewellyn Park, and is buried on the grounds of the estate.
